Our code of conduct is designed to honor the general ethical preferences of ourselves and our viewers without needing to divulge specifics to our viewers and potentially degrade the efficacy of our protocols or breach client confidentiality.
- We do not support clients engaged in practices that would be illegal in the client’s jurisdiction if carried out through conventional means
- We do not support government, military, law enforcement, or private intelligence gathering applications
- We do not support security applications except in defensive applications such as penetration testing
- We do not support safety-critical applications or anything involving human life at imminent or eventual risk
- We do not work with political initiatives or parties of any kind in any country
- We maintain strict confidentiality. Client identity and project targets are need-to-know and never shared with viewers, judges, or outside parties. We gather only as much information from our clients as necessary to satisfy our code of conduct and the project deliverables.
- Viewer identities are never shared with outside clients, though specific work products may be delivered
We do support scientific studies and commercial applications in most industries, however there are some industries we generally decline to engage with, including:

what to expect
What you can expect as a viewer for the Overlay Group:
- You will be at arms length from project subject matter – you will only be concerned with associative photo reference targets
- You will know that your viewing abilities are not being used to support illegal or ethically questionable activities
- You need not worry about the actual business or science objective – our protocols actually work better when fully blind
- You will receive objective feedback on your performance
- You will have the opportunity to receive performance-based bonuses
